iOS 6 might not be coming to your iPhone any time soon, but the rumors of its features are certainly thick in the air. One thing that the next major update of Apple’s mobile platform is almost sure to come with, is Facebook integration. A lot of people really appreciated all the Twitter-related stuff that iOS 5 flaunted, and now everyone can’t wait to see what changes will be made with respect to Facebook integration. If you have a jailbroken iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, though, you don’t have to wait too long to try out one instance of iOS-Facebook combination. With the newly released FacebookThis Cydia tweak, users can post photos to Facebook right from within the stock Photos app! The tweak adds a new button in each photo’s options, and using that button, you will be able to publish photos to your wall without much ado.

After you have installed FacebookThis to your jailbroken iPhone, go to the Photos app and open any image there. Navigate to the picture’s options menu from the arrow icon in the bottom bar. A new button marked “Facebook” is added right after the Tweet one, tapping which opens a text box where you can enter any caption for the image before hitting OK. If you are using FacebookThis for the first time, you will have to grant it access to your Facebook account, and the tweak will guide you through the authentication procedure in Safari.

FacebookThis is a tweak that doesn’t take away anything from your iPhone while adding an awesomely useful new functionality. It could have been even better without all the fuss it creates regarding account authentication, but for an incredible price of $0, we aren’t complaining at all. FacebookThis is available in the BigBoss repo of the Cydia store as a free download, and doesn’t require any configuration steps, as it has no Springboard icon or menu in the Settings app.
