yTimer2: Quickly Create Manage Multiple Countdown Timers Share
PDF Print E-mail

We have previously covered timers including Free Countdown Timer and WatchMe that let you create multiple timers, add description, choose custom sounds and select applications to run upon countdown completion. You have to let the application run in the background at all times in order to keep the timer running. yTimer2 is an application that lets you set up multiple countdown timers, receive audio and notification alerts and open files when the counter reaches zero. If you close the application with active timers, restarting it will automatically load the timers with the correct remaining time. Time can be specified in days, hours, minutes and seconds.

yTimer2 has some preset timers at the right side, including timers for 10 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute and 5 minutes. Other than that, you can define the exact number of seconds and minutes for your timer between the range of 1-999. Options are available at the bottom to set a Timer Description, Enable/Disable sound alarm, Repeat timer, Run a file and select if you want the alarm to sound upon completion of countdown or at a specific user-specified time.

To add a new timer, select New from the right side, enter description, countdown time and click Apply. All Active and Inactive timers appear in the main interface.

When the countdown is complete, you will receive notification in the default Windows notification bubble as well as a popup window on your desktop. If you have selected to Make a noise and Run a file, the application will also sound an alarm and open the specified file.
